fr3n Update: Page Builder, Commerce, and a Linktree Killer

by Oskar Freye

fr3n is getting a drag-and-drop page builder, a commerce system, and Stripe Connect payouts for creators.

fr3n Page Builder and Commerce

The last month on fr3n has been a blur. Remember when I said this was going to be a creator community platform? It’s turning into a full creator operating system.

The Page Builder

The PageContentBuilder in RizzR3n is now real. Creators can drag and drop sections — hero, testimonials, scatter tiles, AI community features — and compose their fan page visually. The asset selector connects directly to the builder, so uploading media and placing it is seamless.

The scatter tile layout was tricky. The original version had elements overlapping way too aggressively, so I spent a couple of evenings tweaking the collision avoidance. It’s one of those things where “good enough” keeps moving because you can always make it look a little better.

Commerce: The Hard Part

Late June I started wiring up the commerce layer. Stripe Connect for creator payouts was the big one — creators need to actually get paid. The flow is: fan buys content → Stripe processes payment → platform takes a cut → creator gets paid out via Connect.

The content management system in the creator hub (we call it “tech”) handles digital products, memberships, and soon subscriptions. Each content type has its own editing experience, and the API routes are organized by domain.

The Linktree Feature

We had a mini sprint end of July to ship a Linktree-style feature — a simple link page that creators can set up in minutes. It was supposed to be a quick weekend project but turned into a whole PR with “final adjustments” and “last minute” fixes. The classic.

What’s Coming

August is all about the fan experience — onboarding flows, profile pages, social fields, and making the subdomain-based creator spaces feel polished. We’re also reworking the RBAC system to automatically assign fan roles when someone joins a community.

The pace is unsustainable and I love it.
